Responsibilities

• ▹Plan and implement features according to specifications, prioritising tasks and delivering on time
• ▹Work within standardised technical processes that support collaboration and consistency
• ▹Communicate clearly and consistently with the team and clients
• ▹Develop and maintain reusable plugins, shared libraries, and internal tooling
• ▹Refactor code and carry out bug fixes
• ▹Work closely with others as part of a small team
• ▹Take greater project leadership over time, advocating for best practices and navigating client relationships

Requirements

• ▹Experience working with modern WordPress, including block themes and the Site Editor
• ▹In-depth understanding of engineering with PHP and/or JavaScript
• ▹Strong understanding of HTML, CSS, and front-end best practices, including performance and accessibility
• ▹Ability to debug your own code and that of others, using debugging tools
• ▹Solid understanding of MySQL and database-driven applications
• ▹Knowledge of interacting with RESTful APIs and integrating external services
• ▹Experience using Git and GitHub, including branching strategies and pull request workflows
• ▹Experience managing dependencies with npm and Composer
• ▹Ability to set up local development environments
• ▹Strong verbal and written communication, good English language skills

Nice to have

• ▹JavaScript experience, including developing custom blocks
