Middle Embedded Software Engineer (Department)

Responsibilities

• ▹Design separate components, modules, classes and devices
• ▹Code, debug, document and maintain portions of software and hardware
• ▹Perform different types of testing
• ▹Participate in estimation and planning sessions
• ▹Contribute to technical project documentation and user documentation
• ▹Assist test engineers and support personnel with software installation and operation issues
• ▹Participate in conference calls and face-to-face meetings with the customer and partners
• ▹Comply with best engineering practices, technical standards and quality criteria
• ▹Report status and progress per project and company requirements
• ▹Identify deficiencies in the development process and suggest improvements
• ▹Escalate technical issues to the Architect, Team Lead and Project Manager

Requirements

• ▹4+ years of experience with C
• ▹Experience with cloud connectivity applications, including monitoring and Firmware-Over-the-Air (FOTA) solutions
• ▹Strong background in communication technologies: LTE, BLE, OpenThread, MQTT and cybersecurity
• ▹Practical experience with Yocto Linux
• ▹Experience debugging and troubleshooting embedded systems on real devices (J-Link, ST-Link)
• ▹Upper-intermediate English

Nice to have

• ▹Hardware knowledge
• ▹Experience with Docker, GitLab and Jira
