Responsibilities

• ▹Manage and grow part of the ~25+ person European engineering team
• ▹Give feedback on product and technical specs, coaching engineers toward good decisions rather than making the call for them
• ▹Grow engineers to the point where they can take large, loosely defined projects and deliver with minimal intervention
• ▹Stay hands-on with code occasionally: debugging customer issues, shipping small fixes, improving developer experience
• ▹Own individual projects as well, e.g. improving data generation and simulation for demo accounts

Requirements

• ▹Technical depth spanning infrastructure, backend and frontend topics
• ▹Genuine enjoyment of both management and staying technical
• ▹Ability to spot patterns in how the team works and build better processes/automation
• ▹Openness to candidates earlier in their leadership journey who are courageous and principled (not only seasoned EMs)
• ▹Junior EMs typically manage around 6 direct reports
