Responsibilities

• ▹Lead architecture during discovery, translating clients' business models, KPIs, and AI goals into a target-state design and implementation plan
• ▹Stay on as design owner during build, reviewing pipelines, models, and BI work from data and analytics engineers
• ▹Architect AI-ready data foundations: semantic layers, feature stores, vector databases, embeddings pipelines
• ▹Design end-to-end cloud platforms for retail clients: ingestion, storage, transformation, modeling, BI, CDP
• ▹Build engineering rigor in by default: automated pipelines, infrastructure-as-code, CI/CD, testing, observability
• ▹Co-sell with business developers, key account managers, and strategists, shaping proposals and presenting architectures to clients

Requirements

• ▹Automation-first mindset, reaching for infrastructure-as-code, CI/CD, testing, and observability
• ▹Understanding of trade-offs, not just brand names (e.g., why BigQuery fits one client and Snowflake fits another)
• ▹Active, practical use of AI coding assistants (Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot) for generating SQL, dbt, and Python, reviewing designs, and drafting docs
• ▹Experience with cloud platforms: AWS, GCP, Microsoft Fabric
• ▹Familiarity with BI tools: Looker Studio, Power BI, Tableau
• ▹Familiarity with CDP platforms: Segment, mParticle, Bloomreach, RudderStack, Snowflake-native
• ▹Transformation and modeling tools: SQL, dbt, Python
