Senior Software Engineer, Aerial Platform

Responsibilities

• ▹Lead design and development of an end-to-end reference system stack for 5G/6G baseband systems
• ▹Optimize CPU, GPU and NIC sub-systems for low latency and maximum throughput
• ▹Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot performance bottlenecks
• ▹Troubleshoot and integrate complex software modules in a lab environment
• ▹Develop new baseband functions in C/C++/Python/CUDA on a GPU platform
• ▹Support system integration, performance testing, and field trials
• ▹Act as a technical bridge between engineering and partner/customer teams
• ▹Engage with customer field trials and technical teams

Requirements

• ▹Background in wireless communication systems or digital signal processing
• ▹Industry experience developing PHY/MAC layer or baseband unit (BBU) software in C/C++
• ▹Understanding of PHY/MAC layer procedures and performance tradeoffs
• ▹Knowledge of LTE/5G MAC and PHY from both systems and low-level 3GPP spec perspectives
• ▹Comfortable using wireless lab equipment such as signal generators, network analyzers, power meters
• ▹MS or PhD in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science or Telecommunications (or equivalent experience)
• ▹8+ years of related industry experience in software development and systems engineering
• ▹Understanding of telecommunications radio device design in a regulated industry
• ▹Able to work as an individual contributor or take a technical leadership role
• ▹Strong written and oral communication skills
• ▹Experience in telecommunications or with telecom customers/partners
• ▹Strong time-management and organization skills across multiple initiatives
• ▹Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
