A Senior Java Developer role at Vice President level in the Security Reference Data Tech team within Institutional Securities Tech at Morgan Stanley. The team handles exchange-listed product and pricing reference data from over 100 venues worldwide and vendors like Reuters and Bloomberg. The role includes building scalable enterprise data models and managing a small team.
Responsibilities
- ▹Collaborate closely with geographically dispersed teams in New York, London and India
- ▹Work directly with users and business analysts to translate requirements into technical architecture
- ▹Build scalable, intuitive enterprise-wide data models and services for listed products
- ▹Implement appropriate caching and messaging technologies
- ▹Manage a team of 2-3 members
Requirements
- ▹At least 7+ years of relevant experience
- ▹Bachelor's/Master's degree in Engineering, preferably Computer Science
- ▹Ample understanding of Java and open-source frameworks (Spring, Spring Batch, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud)
- ▹Cloud-native design experience including microservices, SPARK, Kafka, and a public cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- ▹Database development and debugging with stored procedures (Sybase and/or DB2)
- ▹NoSQL experience (preferably MongoDB), database design and modeling
Nice to have
- ▹Understanding of Python
- ▹Familiarity with Agile and DevOps
- ▹Integration middleware and Service Oriented Architecture experience
