Senior Data Engineer

Responsibilities

• ▹Lead the design, implementation and optimization of data historian solutions
• ▹Integrate historian systems with various control systems and third-party applications
• ▹Conduct performance analysis and implement continuous improvement strategies
• ▹Design and configure complex data tags for specific project requirements
• ▹Develop custom interfaces and connectors to enhance data integration capabilities
• ▹Develop and implement advanced security measures to protect historical data
• ▹Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers
• ▹Maintain comprehensive documentation for configurations, installations and troubleshooting

Requirements

• ▹Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology or related field
• ▹3-5 years of hands-on experience designing, implementing and leading projects with: AVEVA PI, AspenTech IP.21, AspenTech Inmation, Inductive Automation Ignition, PTC Kepware
• ▹In-depth knowledge of data integration and historian system architecture
• ▹Strong understanding of industrial processes and automation systems
• ▹Expertise in data contextualization, visualization and reporting platforms
• ▹Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g. PowerShell) for automation
• ▹Previous experience mentoring and leading a technical team
• ▹Good communication skills

Nice to have

• ▹Aveeva/OSIsoft PI: 2 years experience
• ▹Data Historians: 3 years experience
• ▹Life sciences industry experience: 2 years
