Senior Data Engineer – AI & Agentic Pipelines (m/f/d)

Responsibilities

• ▹Explore and implement AWS and big data technologies for the SIXT Data Shop
• ▹Collaborate with Data Engineers, BI Analysts and Data Scientists on analytical solutions
• ▹Contribute to the Data Platform vision and roadmap
• ▹Maintain data protection standards when handling sensitive customer data
• ▹Design and implement multi-agent workflows automating end-to-end data operations
• ▹Drive adoption of LLM-augmented data capabilities, including RAG pipelines and semantic search

Requirements

• ▹Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering or related field
• ▹5+ years professional experience as a senior data engineer
• ▹Strong experience with hybrid Data Lake and Data Warehouse architectures, ELT automation
• ▹Expertise with Redshift, Snowflake, dbt and Apache Airflow
• ▹Hands-on experience with AI coding assistants and agentic workflow automation
• ▹Understanding of RAG systems and experience designing agentic architectures with quality gates

Nice to have

• ▹Experience with vector and/or graph databases feeding RAG
