Senior Site Reliability Engineer (SRE)

Responsibilities

• ▹Design, build and maintain scalable, resilient and performant systems on Azure with a Java, Kafka and Couchbase stack
• ▹Drive adoption of Micronaut, standardize application templates, transition to managed cloud services
• ▹Improve system observability (logging, metrics, tracing), alerting and on-call practices
• ▹Automate across the SDLC, from CI/CD pipelines to infrastructure provisioning
• ▹Contribute to a blameless post-incident review process
• ▹Develop and drive adoption of shared SRE tooling and best practices
• ▹Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership

Requirements

• ▹Proven experience as a Senior Site Reliability Engineer or similar role
• ▹Strong understanding of SRE principles (error budgets, SLOs/SLIs, toil reduction)
• ▹Extensive hands-on experience designing and operating scalable applications on Microsoft Azure
• ▹Mandatory extensive hands-on experience with Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS)
• ▹Expert-level Java proficiency with modern frameworks (Micronaut, Spring Boot) and JVM performance tuning
• ▹Solid understanding of distributed systems and microservices architecture
• ▹Hands-on experience with an event streaming platform (Kafka) and NoSQL storage (Couchbase)
• ▹Strong scripting skills (Python, Bash) and Infrastructure as Code experience (Terraform)
