Backend Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• ▹Design and develop scalable backend services using Python and Django, focusing on core financial products
• ▹Build and maintain RESTful APIs that power customer-facing applications and internal tools
• ▹Implement robust data models and database schemas to support the financial services infrastructure
• ▹Write clean, testable code with comprehensive unit and integration tests
• ▹Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement new features and improvements
• ▹Optimize application performance and ensure high availability of services
• ▹Participate in code reviews and contribute to technical documentation
• ▹Monitor and maintain production systems, ensuring reliability and security

Requirements

• ▹Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience
• ▹5+ years of professional experience in backend development with Python
• ▹Strong proficiency in Django, or other Python API frameworks (e.g. FastAPI, Flask)
• ▹Experience with SQL databases (preferably PostgreSQL) and ORM frameworks
• ▹Knowledge of API design principles and microservices architecture
• ▹Experience with AWS or similar cloud platforms
• ▹Solid understanding of version control with Git
• ▹Experience with testing frameworks (e.g., pytest, unittest)
• ▹Understanding of security best practices and data protection
• ▹Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
