Confirmed Backend Engineer - Carpool Monetization

Responsibilities

• ▹Develop, maintain and monitor Monetization core services
• ▹Be responsible for application quality and contribute to improving it
• ▹Participate in design and code reviews
• ▹Collaborate closely with frontend engineers, product managers, designers and business stakeholders to define, develop and deliver impactful features
• ▹Document work and contribute to shared knowledge and technical standards
• ▹Participate actively in continuous improvement across the team and codebase
• ▹Contribute to initiatives such as subscriptions, freemium experience, insurance flows, Energy Saving Certificate deployment and monetization rollout in new countries

Requirements

• ▹Solid experience from companies with a strong engineering culture, within a growth context
• ▹Fluent in Java, with knowledge of frameworks such as Spring, Spring Boot, JUnit and Mockito
• ▹Hands-on experience with Git, Docker, Kubernetes, Kafka, databases at scale, and monitoring solutions (e.g. Datadog)
• ▹Good knowledge of service-oriented and event-driven architecture, and ability to determine when to apply a given architectural pattern
• ▹Ability to balance fast iterations with high-quality delivery
• ▹Results-driven and impact-oriented mindset
• ▹Fluency in English
