Senior Backend Software Engineer - Video Platform (Full remote from France)

Stack

Responsibilities

• ▹Design and develop REST APIs, particularly around DRM and content configuration
• ▹Design and improve video processing systems: scheduling, state machines, processing jobs
• ▹Improve the video upload system with a focus on performance, cost and resilience
• ▹Apply analytical skills to Big Data challenges at a multi-petabyte scale
• ▹Proactively drive improvements to the platform

Requirements

• ▹8+ years of experience in backend architecture and development
• ▹Strong object-oriented design skills
• ▹Proficiency in one or more of the stack's languages: PHP, Go, Python, Java
• ▹Experience with a containerization solution: Docker or Podman
• ▹Solid experience building REST APIs
• ▹Experience with SQL databases
• ▹Experience developing and deploying applications on cloud platforms, ideally AWS
• ▹English at B2 level
• ▹Fluent French required

Nice to have

• ▹NoSQL experience, e.g. MongoDB or Cassandra
• ▹Interest or experience integrating LLMs, e.g. for future automatic subtitle generation pipelines
