Responsibilities

• ▹Optimize I/O for emulated disk and network devices
• ▹Integrate the hypervisor with other platform services
• ▹Efficiently distribute resources between virtual machines
• ▹Improve guest system support
• ▹Advance open source virtualization
• ▹Strengthen hypervisor and emulator security
• ▹Fix bugs and monitor upstream

Requirements

• ▹5+ years of software engineering experience
• ▹Fluent in C
• ▹3+ years of Linux experience
• ▹3+ years of QEMU/KVM experience
• ▹Deep understanding of x86 systems (virtual memory, interrupts, privilege rings)
• ▹User-mode system programming on Linux

Nice to have

• ▹Accepted patches in Linux Kernel or QEMU/KVM
• ▹Experience with ARMv8 virtualization extensions
• ▹Knowledge of PCI, SCSI, ACPI
• ▹Strong communication skills
