Performance Engineer - Open Source

Responsibilities

• ▹Develop performance measurement and validation tools and frameworks
• ▹Build shared dashboarding and measurement capabilities in the central performance team
• ▹Improve test harnesses and frameworks across every product team
• ▹Optimize performance for specific architectures (CPU family, hypervisor) with silicon and cloud partners
• ▹Spread performance and correctness engineering culture, tools, and insights across the company

Requirements

• ▹Deep knowledge of at least one language (C, C++, Rust, Go, Python, Java, Flutter-Dart)
• ▹Understanding of the system, runtime, and compiler level
• ▹Passion for the kernel or hardware
• ▹Leadership attitude and initiative

Nice to have

• ▹Knowledge of multiple languages (JavaScript, Node.js, Dart)
• ▹CPU instruction-set level knowledge
