Canonical is hiring an engineer to contribute to Juju, a large open-source Go project enabling model-driven operations of distributed software systems across cloud, Kubernetes, and bare-metal.
Responsibilities
- ▹Design, deliver, and support features in a highly distributed system
- ▹Collaborate with a distributed team
- ▹Debug issues and contribute to upstream communities
Requirements
- ▹Experience developing software in Go
- ▹Excellent English communication skills
- ▹Exceptional academic track record
Nice to have
- ▹Experience building highly concurrent distributed systems
- ▹Container technologies (Docker, LXD, Kubernetes)
- ▹Solid networking background
- ▹Configuration management tools (Ansible, Chef, Puppet)
- ▹SQL and NoSQL databases
- ▹Terraform plugin development
Soft skills
Open communication in online environmentsDiscussing ideas and finding good solutions as a team
