Senior Backend Engineer, AI Engineering: AI Coding

Responsibilities

• ▹Design and build the trigger system linking GitLab events (code pushes, MR and issue changes, CI/CD results, deployments) and third-party events (Jira, Jenkins, Slack) to AI-powered Duo Flows
• ▹Contribute to the broader event platform that many of GitLab's AI features rely on
• ▹Architect for high availability and throughput
• ▹Work within GitLab's Rails monolith, while staying open to other languages used elsewhere
• ▹Influence product and architecture direction by proposing iterative solutions
• ▹Collaborate closely with teammates, product manager, and designer
• ▹Partner cross-departmentally with other Duo Agent Platform teams to ensure trigger and event integration
