Senior Test Automation Engineer

Responsibilities

• ▹Own the full testing lifecycle for new features: analyze user stories, design comprehensive manual test cases and turn them into robust automated regression scripts
• ▹Expand and maintain the existing Playwright + TypeScript automation suite, keeping scripts stable, readable and efficient
• ▹Actively convert the existing backlog of manual tickets and functional requirements into automated scripts
• ▹Design and run automated tests for GraphQL APIs, ensuring schema integrity and valid data responses across services
• ▹Perform thorough manual testing of web application features to validate UI/UX and find edge cases before they are automated
• ▹Work within CI/CD pipelines (e.g. GitHub Actions) so automated suites give rapid, reliable feedback to the engineering team
• ▹Review test code and collaborate with the team to maintain high standards for test data management and script reliability

Requirements

• ▹5+ years in Software Quality Engineering with a heavy focus on automation
• ▹Strong TypeScript experience, writing clean, maintainable code within an existing framework
• ▹Proven experience building and maintaining UI automation with Playwright
• ▹Hands-on experience testing GraphQL APIs (e.g. Playwright APIRequest, Apollo or similar tools)
• ▹Proficiency in breaking down complex user stories into structured manual test cases that serve as the blueprint for automation
• ▹Deep understanding of web technologies (DOM, CSS, DevTools) and experience testing complex enterprise web applications

Nice to have

• ▹Proficiency in AI-powered tools (e.g. GitHub Copilot, Cursor) to accelerate script generation, refactoring and debugging
• ▹Experience working in Agile environments using ClickUp and Notion for task tracking and documentation
• ▹Advanced GraphQL: familiarity with testing subscriptions or complex schema stitching
