Engineering Manager, Support & AI (m/f/d) - Berlin

Responsibilities

• ▹Ensure sustainable delivery from your team while giving transparency, making pragmatic trade-offs, and motivating the team
• ▹Integrate and collaborate with other disciplines and tech leads as one team
• ▹Develop and improve processes and software development techniques together with your team
• ▹Help your software engineers grow: address weaknesses, foster strengths, provide frequent feedback, and set goals
• ▹Foster autonomy in your squad's decisions and processes
• ▹Work with the recruiting team on attracting, retaining, and onboarding new team members
• ▹Rebuild the Passenger and Driver Care team to ship customer and driver support automations, build AI assist features, and lead integrations

Requirements

• ▹Strong software engineering background, building software systems for multiple years, ideally with Java or Kotlin
• ▹Familiarity with financial processes such as charging customers, creating invoices, and providing data to accounting
• ▹Strong leadership skills, able to effectively guide and motivate a team
• ▹Committed to continuous learning and professional growth, fostering a culture of learning and knowledge sharing
• ▹Structured, transparent, polite but clear communication
• ▹Growth mindset with the ability to quickly adapt to change
• ▹Creative problem-solver who enjoys finding innovative solutions
• ▹Interest in leveraging LLMs to build the best customer and driver support experience
• ▹Excellent English communication skills, written and verbal
