Responsibilities

• ▹Build and operate scalable backend systems for the Wolt AdTech & Promotions team.
• ▹Take ownership of large, cross-functional initiatives from planning through delivery.
• ▹Apply AI-assisted engineering workflows, using tools such as Codex and Claude, in day-to-day development.
• ▹Work with stakeholders to gather, process and act on feedback, keeping multiple parties aligned around shared goals.

Requirements

• ▹Backend engineering experience, ideally with Golang.
• ▹Experience building and operating scalable backend systems.
• ▹Comfortable working in high-ambiguity environments and bringing structure where needed.
• ▹Proven ability to independently lead large, cross-team initiatives from problem definition and planning to stakeholder alignment and on-time delivery.
• ▹Strong stakeholder management, planning and delivery skills.
• ▹Excellent communication and alignment-building skills.
• ▹Extensive, hands-on experience with AI-assisted development, including tools like Codex, Claude, and agentic workflows.

Nice to have

• ▹Experience with NoSQL databases such as Cassandra, MongoDB or similar technologies.
