Senior Backend Engineer

Responsibilities

• ▹Build internal services around marketing and consent use-cases, enabling marketing stakeholders to run campaigns in and out of the app.
• ▹Maintain and expand existing services, as well as plan and design new ones.
• ▹Work on projects such as the audience management tool (Golang), marketing attribution (Spark), consent management platform (Golang), bid & budget automation platform (Python), campaign generation tool (Golang), and various ETL jobs (Python).
• ▹Develop a centralized consent platform that allows teams to easily create and deploy compliant consent-gathering experiences.
• ▹Collaborate cross-functionally within Wolt and with DoorDash teams, aligning roadmaps.
• ▹Work with marketing and analytics stakeholders and product leads to bring projects from idea to production.

Requirements

• ▹Experience designing and building top-class software and APIs using modern Golang or Python.
• ▹Familiarity with grpc, FastAPI, Echo, PostgreSQL and Spark, as well as Postgres, Kafka and Redis.
• ▹Experience with monitoring, alerting and deploying services in production.
• ▹Understanding of what it takes to build and operate scalable software services.
• ▹Good communication skills, willingness to collaborate with people outside your own team, product-oriented mindset.
• ▹Willingness to take ownership and deliver projects end-to-end.

Nice to have

• ▹Experience with Kubernetes on AWS or similar cloud infrastructure is a strong plus.
