Responsibilities

• ▹Take part in the full software development life cycle of the MEMX trading platform
• ▹Develop low latency, high throughput, event-sourcing applications
• ▹Resolve production software issues
• ▹Act as primary support during US evening hours for the equities and options platforms and Market Tech customers

Requirements

• ▹B.S. in Computer Science
• ▹6+ years of real-time server-side Java development experience
• ▹Independence and the ability to multi-task across different systems
• ▹Prior experience developing US equities and/or options financial services systems
• ▹Low latency, high volume, high throughput Linux production system development/support experience
• ▹Strong professional and interpersonal skills, exceptional customer service, creative problem solving, effective written and verbal communication
• ▹Broad systems thinking
• ▹Self-starter in a dynamic, remote-first environment

Nice to have

• ▹Clearing and settlement / back office processes
• ▹Event sourcing design pattern
• ▹Time series databases (e.g. Deephaven)
• ▹TCP/IP and UDP networking
• ▹FIX messaging
• ▹Git, Gradle, JUnit, Jira, Confluence, Jenkins, Wireshark
