As a mid-level .NET Engineer in Trainline's Backend teams, you'll deliver features for the core platform powering journey search, fares, bookings and payments, while mentoring colleagues and owning the full development lifecycle.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver new functionality and features using the most appropriate tools and techniques
  • Ensure quality is at the heart of everything the team does
  • Continuously improve the codebase
  • Identify and remove blockers, bottlenecks and waste
  • Contribute significantly to technical decisions
  • Coach and mentor other engineers in the team
  • Own the full development lifecycle from code to production, including deployment and monitoring

Requirements

  • Hands-on experience with C# .NET and its latest features
  • Experience working with Agile development practices
  • Hands-on experience developing high-volume transactional applications
  • Experience with asynchronous service/processing
  • Ability to test solutions effectively
  • Experience with CI/CD
  • Tech stack: C# (.NET 6–8), DynamoDB, PostgreSQL, AWS Cloud, Docker, Terraform, GitHub Actions, New Relic, ELK Stack
