Senior Software Engineer, Platform

Stack

Responsibilities

• ▹Design, build, test and operate scalable backend services and platform capabilities
• ▹Develop APIs and service integrations for distributed and cloud-based systems
• ▹Make technical design decisions on data flow, asynchronous workflows, scalability, resiliency and performance
• ▹Own services from design through deployment, observability, troubleshooting and production support
• ▹Diagnose complex problems across application, infrastructure, networking and data layers
• ▹Improve CI/CD, automation, testing and engineering workflows
• ▹Contribute to technical designs through ADRs, RFCs and architecture discussions
• ▹Collaborate with engineers across teams, giving technical feedback and sharing knowledge
• ▹Use AI-assisted engineering tools to speed up development and investigation

Requirements

• ▹Strong software engineering fundamentals and a passion for scalable, resilient production systems
• ▹Designing REST/gRPC APIs, relational databases (SQL) and cloud-native architectures across GCP and AWS
• ▹Deep understanding of distributed systems (event-driven architecture, asynchronous processing, scalability, fault tolerance, eventual consistency)
• ▹Infrastructure as Code (Terraform), observability (monitoring/tracing) and security (IAM, OAuth) integrated into development
• ▹Practice of SOLID principles, automated testing, code reviews and technical documentation
• ▹Using modern AI tools to accelerate development while keeping technical ownership
