Software Engineer I, Backend (Collections)

Responsibilities

• ▹Work on tasks contributing to the team's projects and goals with the support of the team
• ▹Collaborate with product managers, backbook risk teams and other engineering teams
• ▹Manage loans through the delinquency phase and develop and implement recovery strategies
• ▹Build scalable, highly available and reliable platform solutions to handle growing volume
• ▹Strike the right balance of speed and quality while protecting systems from downtime
• ▹Create visibility and dialog regarding the risks and trade-offs of your work

Requirements

• ▹Previous work or internship experience designing, developing and launching backend systems at scale
• ▹Experience using Python or Kotlin
• ▹Familiarity with the building blocks of distributed systems and technologies like AWS, MySQL and Kubernetes
• ▹Ability to turn a simple problem or business scenario into a solution interacting with multiple software components, with clear, well-tested, extensible code
• ▹Comfort navigating a large code base, debugging others' code and giving feedback through code reviews
• ▹Strong verbal and written communication skills for collaboration with a global engineering team
