Senior Software Engineer – Contact Automation (AI)

Responsibilities

• ▹Lead the design, development and deployment of scalable, resilient, high-performance components for the Wise Assistant, including a core Java microservice consuming Kafka messages, plus the Typescript and Python codebases
• ▹Own the intent detection systems, contact processing pipelines and routing logic that connect customers to automation solutions (templates, RAG, LLM workflows, AI agents, vendor solutions)
• ▹Design and implement solutions leveraging foundational LLM models (AWS Bedrock) to resolve customer queries effectively
• ▹Lead and manage technical integration with third-party AI agent vendors
• ▹Continuously improve the performance, reliability and scalability of the automation platform
• ▹Collaborate closely with content designers to implement and refine automated conversational flows
• ▹Mentor other engineers and foster a culture of engineering excellence

Requirements

• ▹Experience applying AI/ML concepts, particularly LLMs, to solve real-world problems in production environments
• ▹Pragmatic, impact-oriented mindset, including a willingness to work on foundational, less novel tasks
