GTM Engineer

Backend Developer • Remote • Vollzeit • 📍 Remote (US)

GTM (Go-to-Market) Engineer role at WorkOS, a developer-tools and API company. This is a hands-on engineering role embedded in the GTM org, owning the systems that power how the company identifies, enriches, scores and engages prospects at scale: custom-built enrichment pipelines leveraging Cargo, campaign sync tooling that feeds events and outbound plays, and the code that ties it all together. The engineer works at the intersection of GTM strategy and software engineering, writing production TypeScript/Python, shipping PRs, designing schemas and building internal tools the whole GTM team depends on daily.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and improve the core enrichment pipeline that takes a new signup or conference attendee list and returns a fully enriched, scored and Salesforce-upserted record (using Cargo, Clay, Snowflake and providers like Apollo, Linkup, Exa); own reliability, fill rates and schema consistency
  • Work on the fit/account scoring pipeline that evaluates every company against the ICP and writes results to Snowflake and SFDC, including batching optimization, retry logic, logging and observability
  • Build and maintain campaign and event tooling that syncs event attendee lists (Luma, conference CSVs) through enrichment into Salesforce campaigns and routes records to the right owners
  • Build and maintain enrichment tooling accessible via Wallaby, WorkOS's internal AI agent, designing tools that are clean, effective and composable
  • Work closely with the data engineering team to keep the Snowflake schema in sync with consuming tools and ensure data flowing into SFDC is accurate
  • Ship production code through review, debug production incidents (Salesforce API rate limits, Cargo timeouts, enrichment failures), instrument logging and observability, and consider batching, concurrency and idempotency

Requirements

  • Capable software engineer who writes clean TypeScript or Python, understands async patterns, can design a database schema and can debug a production incident from logs alone
  • GTM domain knowledge: worked with tools such as Salesforce, HubSpot, Clay, Cargo, Apollo or equivalents; understands how leads flow through a CRM and how data quality degrades over time
  • Systems thinking: thinks in pipelines, considering 10x volume, API outages and duplicate submissions
  • 3+ years of experience in GTM Engineering, Revenue Operations or a closely adjacent technical role at a high-growth B2B SaaS company

Nice to have

  • BDR or AE background giving intuition for what the sales team needs
