Stack

Responsibilities

• ▹Design and implement scalable, maintainable, observable and high-performing application architecture
• ▹Write clean, efficient and well-documented code
• ▹Conduct code reviews, review architecture and contribute to engineering best practices
• ▹Identify and optimise performance bottlenecks across systems
• ▹Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver impactful features
• ▹Ensure application security and implement safeguards against vulnerabilities
• ▹Take part in and lead decisions on major capabilities, translating business and product needs into clear, practical technical roadmaps
• ▹Serve as product-engineering subject-matter expert for the domain, mapping capabilities into well-defined domains
• ▹Lead by example through hands-on coding, creating new capabilities or evolving existing ones, driving adoption of software engineering best practices and mentoring teams
• ▹Communicate complex solutions clearly to stakeholders and embed a strong product engineering culture

Requirements

• ▹Strong hands-on experience building customer-facing web products with React
• ▹Strong front-end engineering background, ideally with full-stack experience across APIs, integrations and system boundaries
• ▹Proven experience designing and evolving software architecture across complex systems, multiple codebases or related product domains
• ▹Product engineering mindset: turning product requirements into technical designs, staged delivery plans and high-quality implementations
• ▹Excellent communication skills with technical and non-technical audiences

Nice to have

• ▹Experience with PHP and Vue/Vue components
• ▹Experience with membership, community, personalisation, gamification or user-retention products
• ▹Experience with high-traffic websites
• ▹Practical use of Domain-Driven Design, SOLID, GRASP or other software design principles
