Cybersecurity Consultant / Concierge Security Engineer 2

Responsibilities

• ▹Work closely with experienced cybersecurity engineers and take an active part in customer projects
• ▹Act as the customer's point of contact for questions about security incidents reported by the Security Operations Center (SOC)
• ▹Analyze customers' structural security weaknesses and technical issues together with the team
• ▹Contribute to technical reports and security analyses
• ▹Pass on simple best practices, including to non-technical contacts
• ▹Analyze logs and security-relevant data sources to detect potential risks
• ▹Keep developing your technical and consulting skills together with your mentor

Requirements

• ▹2–3 years of experience in cybersecurity
• ▹First exposure to network security, cloud infrastructure and SaaS solutions
• ▹Familiarity with authentication, identity management and risk assessment
• ▹Written and spoken communication in German and English
• ▹Technical knowledge in at least 4 of these areas: networking basics (TCP/IP, subnetting, common protocols), operating system hardening (Windows, Linux, Unix), security tools (firewalls, antivirus, IDS/IPS), scripting (Python, Bash or PowerShell), vulnerability assessment (Nmap, Nessus, OpenVAS), incident response basics, security frameworks (MITRE ATT&CK, NIST)
• ▹Ability to explain technical topics clearly to non-technical people
• ▹Careful documentation, from policies and processes to logs
