Responsibilities

• ▹Establish industry best practices for the data engineering team
• ▹Evolve the data architecture by determining structural requirements and developing and installing solutions
• ▹Build upon existing data lakes and data warehouses based on requirements and analysis
• ▹Test and maintain databases to ensure longevity and efficiency

Requirements

• ▹6+ years of hands-on experience in Data Engineering and Big Data
• ▹Proven work experience with ETL development or similar areas
• ▹Advanced knowledge of database engines, data lakes, data practices and policies
• ▹In-depth understanding of database structure principles, integration, ETL, ELT, data processing and data management
• ▹Expertise in data warehouse and data lake technologies (e.g. Vertica, Greenplum, Cloudera, Apache Kafka, Apache NiFi, Apache Spark, Impala)
• ▹Hands-on experience with Python, Java, Scala and SQL
• ▹Experience assembling large, complex data sets that meet business requirements
• ▹Experience building the infrastructure for extraction, transformation and loading of data from a wide variety of sources
• ▹Bachelor's degree in a related field
• ▹Analytical skills and strong organizational abilities
