Ruby on Rails Engineer

Responsibilities

• ▹Build and maintain eCommerce applications with Ruby on Rails, Solidus and modern frontend technologies such as React
• ▹Collaborate with cross-functional teams across the full project lifecycle, from requirements gathering to delivery
• ▹Participate in code reviews and pair programming sessions
• ▹Contribute to open-source projects
• ▹First 3 months: onboard to the tech stack and ongoing projects, start contributing to small tasks
• ▹3-6 months: take on larger project features independently, lead technical initiatives on client projects
• ▹6-12 months: fully own major projects from requirements to deployment, mentor junior team members, run internal workshops and presentations

Requirements

• ▹Production-level fullstack experience with Ruby on Rails
• ▹Passion for building high-quality software and eCommerce solutions
• ▹Strong communication skills for working with teammates and clients
• ▹Inclusive, community-driven mindset with eagerness to learn and share knowledge

Nice to have

• ▹Past consulting or management experience
• ▹Familiarity with the Solidus framework
• ▹Experience with React
• ▹Experience with Shopify Plus and Hydrogen
