Desktop Engineer (Electron & MacOS)

Stack

Responsibilities

• ▹Design, implement and operate everything that happens when a user clicks a button
• ▹Build student-friendly UX
• ▹Develop low-level anti-cheat mechanisms in C++
• ▹Make the product work end to end
• ▹Work on the Electron (macOS and Windows) app, TypeScript/Vue.js UI, C/C++/Objective-C native modules, a Golang Windows background service and Playwright e2e tests

Requirements

• ▹At least 2 years of desktop development experience
• ▹3+ years of C/C++ experience
• ▹2+ years of JavaScript experience (React/Angular/Vue.js, Node.js)
• ▹Product thinking and a clear understanding of business value
• ▹Ability to excel in a constantly changing, fast-growing workplace
• ▹Good written and spoken English
• ▹Living in or near the CEST (Europe/Amsterdam) time zone
• ▹Preference for building whole features (vertical) over specializing in backend

Nice to have

• ▹Familiarity with Electron.js and Chromium
• ▹Objective-C experience
