Responsibilities

• ▹Plan, operate and optimise highly available server landscapes, data centres (e.g. Hetzner) and Proxmox environments
• ▹Establish Everything as Code: build reproducible, highly automated system landscapes with Ansible and Terraform
• ▹Live security by design: host security, VPN and firewall concepts, hardened Ubuntu images and disaster recovery strategies
• ▹Build the IAM and SSO architecture and the mail infrastructure as the basis for seamless user management
• ▹Keep ROI in view and make sure hosting costs stay in an optimal relation to performance
• ▹Coordinate the infrastructure team and support colleagues in reaching their full potential

Requirements

• ▹Completed vocational training as an IT specialist, a degree in computer science or a comparable qualification, and deep knowledge of Linux and Windows server environments
• ▹Passion for IT security, network segmentation (e.g. UniFi, firewalls) and the structured build-up of highly available IT systems
• ▹First experience coordinating teams or as a senior mentor
• ▹Proactive, independent way of working
• ▹Deep, automated daily use of AI tools such as Gemini or Claude Code as digital co-pilots for writing scripts, debugging and boosting your own productivity

Nice to have

• ▹Familiarity with Ansible, Terraform and modern virtualization technologies
