Responsibilities

• ▹Develop and build new hardware-in-the-loop (HiL) test environments for software integration and testing
• ▹Continuously evolve test frameworks that automate test procedures
• ▹Design and implement CI/CD pipelines with GitLab CI/CD
• ▹Integrate individual components and modules into complete aeronautical radio devices in close coordination with hardware and software developers
• ▹Carry out troubleshooting and root-cause analyses together with the hardware and software teams
• ▹Define test cases, write test procedures, evaluate and document test results
• ▹Connect measuring instruments such as oscilloscopes, signal generators and spectrum analyzers to test environments and automate their use

Requirements

• ▹Completed degree in computer science, electrical engineering or a comparable qualification
• ▹Experience in hardware-near software development and in testing complex systems (e.g. microcontrollers, SoCs or RF technology)
• ▹Sound knowledge of mobile communications, especially data transmission, networks and the ISO/OSI reference model
• ▹Solid experience building CI/CD pipelines with GitLab CI/CD and knowledge of container technologies (e.g. Docker or Podman)
• ▹Good C/C++ programming skills and experience with CMake
• ▹Confident with Linux and version control systems such as Git
• ▹Very good spoken and written German

Nice to have

• ▹Experience in a military or safety-critical environment
• ▹Previous experience in test automation and developing test frameworks
