Data Integrations Engineer

Responsibilities

• ▹Maintain the merchant data configuration layer (automated data tagging, transformation, filtering)
• ▹Combine technical, business and analytical perspectives for tailored onboarding solutions
• ▹Perform due diligence on merchant websites, business models and data flows
• ▹Generate tailored data templates (JSON, CSV) for online (API) and offline (file transfer) integrations
• ▹Write queries and scripts in Python, SQL, Spark, Databricks or R to test and validate data in sandbox and production
• ▹Ad hoc data wrangling and sanitization
• ▹Monitor automated data alerts; prioritize and communicate merchant data issues
• ▹Work closely with analysts, research and data science teams
• ▹Identify and offer system-wide solutions for common data issues
• ▹Work closely with client-facing teams on data integrations

Requirements

• ▹4+ years of experience in a data-centric role (Analytics, Data Engineering, ETL, DBA, Consulting, etc.)
• ▹Solid expertise with SQL or NoSQL databases
• ▹Experience with data wrangling (Python, R)
• ▹Experience optimizing technical processes
• ▹Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• ▹Strong verbal and written communication skills

Nice to have

• ▹Experience designing, constructing and maintaining efficient data pipelines using DBT or Python
