Architectural Designer II

Responsibilities

• ▹Site feasibility and pre-construction: code analysis, zoning review, coordinating traffic and parking studies, test fits and space programming, go/no-go calls on new sites
• ▹Permitting and project management: managing permits across jurisdictions (building, fire life safety, ADA, zoning variances, change of use), running civil engineers, FLS specialists and local architects of record
• ▹FF&E and product specification: building a vendor list and product catalog, finding value engineering savings

Requirements

• ▹5+ years in architectural project management, interior design, or similar, with real ownership from design through construction
• ▹Background in schools, retail, or hospitality, where physical space matters to the people using it
• ▹Deep knowledge of building codes, ADA, fire life safety, zoning, and permitting across multiple jurisdictions
• ▹Fluency in 3D modeling software, Adobe Creative Cloud, Adobe InDesign, Autodesk Revit, Bluebeam or equivalent, plus project management tools (Asana)
• ▹Ability to run multiple projects and vendors at once without losing a thread

Nice to have

• ▹Experience building design standards or prototypes for multi-location rollout
