Responsibilities

• ▹Build agent-first products end to end inside the codebases of Everfield's business units (BUs)
• ▹Spec, prototype, ship, iterate and hand off features
• ▹Get productive fast in unfamiliar codebases across backend systems, data platforms, workflow tools and UI
• ▹Use agentic coding tools (Claude Code, Codex, SpecKit and others) as the default way of working
• ▹Build tooling where none exists yet
• ▹Prototype directly with BU customers and iterate based on actual usage
• ▹Work side by side with BU engineering teams so they can maintain the product afterward
• ▹Translate validated ideas into shipped products in weeks rather than quarters
• ▹Hand off production-ready code, documentation and a technical narrative for the BU CEO
• ▹Spot the next build opportunity while delivering the current one
• ▹Help codify a repeatable build playbook

Requirements

• ▹Senior engineer with a track record of shipping real software to real users
• ▹Founder or near-founder experience - founded/co-founded a tech startup (B2B SaaS preferred) or operated with full ownership of a product
• ▹Daily, hands-on use of agentic coding tools, with a clear point of view on where they are strong or brittle
• ▹Polyglot pragmatism - shipped in at least two languages in production
