Data Science Manager, Pricing

Responsibilities

• ▹Own Marshmallow's loss ratio view across the portfolio, recommending commercial actions based on internal and market/economic factors
• ▹Lead conversations with internal and external stakeholders on pricing performance and risk trends, translating analytics into insights for non-technical stakeholders
• ▹Manage and develop a small team of pricing data scientists, raising the quality of their work
• ▹Drive cross-functional investigation into claims and risk signals with business partners
• ▹Shape how pricing data scientists are deployed across workstreams as the team's operating model evolves

Requirements

• ▹Experience as a data scientist and/or data science manager in a risk-focused domain (pricing, credit decisioning, fraud)
• ▹Experience operating in commercially driven environments guided by performance metrics
• ▹Experience forming clear, commercially grounded views from technical analysis and communicating them to senior stakeholders
• ▹Experience making sound decisions with incomplete or imperfect data, under genuine uncertainty
• ▹Collaborative approach connecting pricing insights to broader business performance
