Senior Backend Engineer

Responsibilities

• ▹Build high-performance, scalable systems in modern stacks suited to each project
• ▹Design cloud-native systems with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) across AWS, GCP, and Azure
• ▹Develop robust data models and database architectures to support application requirements
• ▹Build observable systems with the right metrics, logs, tracing, and alerting
• ▹Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines with containerized deployments and scaling strategies

Requirements

• ▹5+ years of experience building and running backend services in production
• ▹Comfortable owning a system end to end, from API design to deployment and operations
• ▹Strong in at least one of the core languages (Kotlin, Go, or TypeScript), willing to pick up others as needed
• ▹Experience making technical decisions within a team: weighing tradeoffs, reviewing code, mentoring peers
• ▹A product mindset: thinking about maintainability and long-term health, not just the task at hand
• ▹Familiarity with agentic development tools
