Platform Engineer / Technical System Manager – AI Platform

Region Östergötland, together with Linköping University, is building a new competence centre for information-driven precision health, and is looking for a Platform Engineer / Technical System Manager who will own the technical platform enabling the development, training, deployment and monitoring of machine learning models in production.

Responsibilities

  • Own the technical platform that enables development, training, deployment and monitoring of machine learning models in production
  • Ensure the infrastructure is scalable, automated and meets high requirements for security, compliance and reliability
  • Build, further develop and maintain ML and AI infrastructure
  • Ensure automation through CI/CD pipelines for AI and ML solutions
  • Work with container-based environments (Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Integrate and manage cloud services (e.g. Azure and/or AWS) according to applicable requirements and guidelines
  • Optimize and manage compute resources (CPU/GPU) in a cost- and energy-efficient way
  • Support model versioning, deployment and monitoring of ML models
  • Ensure security, regulatory compliance and information classification are a natural part of the platform

Requirements

  • Experience with platform, DevOps or infrastructure work (e.g. data pipelines)
  • Good knowledge of container technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes
  • Experience working in cloud environments (e.g. Azure, AWS)
  • Strong ability to collaborate and communicate in cross-functional teams
  • Interest in or experience with AI, ML and MLOps
  • Higher education in IT or equivalent experience
  • Good Swedish and English skills, spoken and written

Nice to have

  • Experience with AI or data platforms
  • Knowledge of security, information classification or regulatory requirements
