Staff Technical Program Manager, Batteries

Responsibilities

• ▹Leading end-to-end delivery of advanced battery systems from concept through launch
• ▹Aligning sourcing, hardware, firmware, software, product, science, manufacturing, and quality teams
• ▹Building and maintaining schedules, mapping dependencies, and proactively clearing roadblocks
• ▹Providing clear, tailored updates to executives, engineers, and partners
• ▹Coordinating between vendors and internal teams
• ▹Driving testing and validation of battery performance, reliability, and safety standards
• ▹Ensuring battery compliance readiness across all channels, markets, and logistics chains
• ▹Establishing best practices for battery program execution, mentoring senior team members

Requirements

• ▹10+ years of experience in NPI hardware development build and test cycles
• ▹Proven track record shipping innovative products with custom battery systems (wearables preferred)
• ▹Strong technical depth in battery technologies and power systems
• ▹Knowledge of battery test methodology at cell and system level
• ▹Experience working with product, engineering, industrial design, manufacturing, and compliance teams
• ▹Excellent communicator with strong negotiation, leadership, and stakeholder management skills
• ▹Thrives in ambiguity, fast-moving, global cross-timezone programs

Nice to have

• ▹Experience with global battery suppliers, contract manufacturers, and supply chains
• ▹Advanced PM tool proficiency (Jira, Confluence, Smartsheet)
