RAN System Engineer – 5G

Stack

Responsibilities

• ▹Design and specify algorithms at the baseband level
• ▹Configure 5G networks and analyze and optimize their performance
• ▹Execute and lead the implementation of new features in the base station
• ▹Guide design and test teams throughout the development process
• ▹Analyze system-level fault reports
• ▹Participate in product development from the idea stage through to deployment of features at major global customers

Requirements

• ▹University, engineering degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Engineering Physics, Computer Science or Telecommunications, or a related field
• ▹Solid knowledge of communication theory and signal processing
• ▹Good knowledge of 3GPP-based communication systems including 3G, 4G and 5G, with particular emphasis on the lower layers of the protocol stack
• ▹Analytical approach and strong ability and willingness to dive into complex problems in this domain
• ▹Good English skills
• ▹Due to the position involving defense secrecy, candidates must undergo and pass a security clearance process, potentially including a background check

Nice to have

• ▹Swedish language skills
• ▹Experience with various AI tools
• ▹Basic programming knowledge, for example Python, C, Matlab or similar, used for performance evaluation and analysis
