IT Security Architect

Responsibilities

• ▹Develop, maintain and shape the agency's IT security architecture over the long term
• ▹Ensure IT and information security are integrated into architecture, design and development
• ▹Act as a central specialist and architecture support to the business, projects, solution architects, technical specialists and operations
• ▹Translate business needs, security requirements and legal requirements into sustainable architecture principles and solutions
• ▹Ensure security is built in from the start, following a Security by Design approach
• ▹Develop and establish architecture principles, guidelines and target architectures within IT and information security
• ▹Set requirements for and review solutions from an IT and information security perspective
• ▹Conduct architecture reviews, risk assessments and threat modeling ahead of new solutions and changes
• ▹Support projects, development initiatives and solution architecture on IT security architecture matters
• ▹Contribute security requirements in procurements and the introduction of new IT solutions
• ▹Collaborate with the IT security unit, other units, the business and external suppliers to ensure a coherent security architecture
• ▹Lead and facilitate workshops on IT and information security and architecture
• ▹Follow developments in cybersecurity and translate new threats and technologies into architecture principles and direction

Requirements

• ▹University or college education in IT security, computer engineering, computer science, systems science or equivalent
• ▹At least 3 years of current experience as an IT security architect or in an equivalent role at a government agency, other public sector organization or larger organization
