Senior Backend Software Engineer

Atolio, a fully remote, well-funded startup, is hiring a Senior Backend Engineer to build distributed Golang services on Kubernetes across AWS, GCP, and Azure that power enterprise search.

Responsibilities

  • ▹Design, build, and maintain highly scalable, cloud-native backend services in Golang using a microservices architecture
  • ▹Deploy and operate services in Kubernetes across AWS, GCP, or Azure with a focus on reliability, observability, and performance
  • ▹Integrate with enterprise systems and security protocols, including SSO/IdP providers like Okta
  • ▹Lead architecture and design of new product features and services from 0 to 1
  • ▹Collaborate across teams to define technical requirements and shape architecture
  • ▹Work across the stack, especially at the intersection of backend services and infrastructure

Requirements

  • ▹Strong understanding of core computer science principles: algorithms, data structures, operating systems, distributed systems, networking, concurrent programming
  • ▹5+ years of experience designing and maintaining highly scalable cloud services and microservices architectures
  • ▹Proficiency in multiple programming languages; Golang experience required
  • ▹Experience working in Kubernetes within AWS, Azure, or GCP
  • ▹Experience building applications for large enterprises, familiarity with SSO/IdP systems like Okta
  • ▹Excellent communication skills for working within a remote team
