Responsibilities

• ▹Design, build, evaluate, and document networking features, connectivity solutions, and the open-source client-code dataplane
• ▹Enhance and iterate on the Funnel and DERP relay infrastructure and their associated network protocols
• ▹Investigate and rectify complex, escalated network issues across diverse technical environments
• ▹Maintain accountability for live services through observability, incident management, and support escalations
• ▹Evaluate and boost the performance, reliability, and scaling of networking resources
• ▹Apply a security-centric approach at every stage from design to implementation

Requirements

• ▹Proven track record in networking software development and troubleshooting
• ▹Expertise in core networking principles: VPNs, NAT traversal, routing, IP addressing
• ▹Experience with distributed systems, global-scale services, and SRE/DevOps methodologies
• ▹Most systems are developed in Go — Go experience highly desired
• ▹Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work autonomously
• ▹Adaptability to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment
• ▹Superior written and verbal communication
