Responsibilities

• ▹Design and build modern data and cloud platforms as a foundation for analytics, AI and data-driven business processes
• ▹Develop scalable data architectures for batch, streaming and real-time workloads on leading cloud platforms
• ▹Establish best practices for cloud engineering, Infrastructure as Code, automation, security and DataOps
• ▹Evaluate new technologies and turn them into scalable production systems
• ▹Take overall responsibility for complex data and cloud engineering projects, including delivery and project management
• ▹Lead interdisciplinary teams of data, cloud and software engineers
• ▹Support customers in modernizing data landscapes and migrating to the cloud
• ▹Build long-term customer relationships, identify business opportunities, support proposals, workshops and pitches
• ▹Coach consultants and engineers and shape the Data & Cloud Engineering practice

Requirements

• ▹Several years of experience consulting on or leading demanding data, cloud or platform transformation projects
• ▹Solid experience in data engineering, cloud engineering or building modern data platforms
• ▹Very good knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Microsoft Azure or Google Cloud), data lakehouses, data warehouses and big data technologies
• ▹Experience with Python, SQL, ETL/ELT processes and workflow orchestration (e.g. Airflow, Dagster or Prefect)
• ▹Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code, container technologies, Kubernetes, DevOps and DataOps
• ▹Ability to translate business requirements into scalable cloud and data architectures
• ▹Leadership and stakeholder communication skills up to C-level
• ▹A completed degree in computer science, business informatics or comparable qualification
• ▹Fluent German and English
