(Senior) Product Engineer

The company is looking for a (Senior) Product Engineer who combines technical depth with product ownership. The role shapes the API landscape, payment processes (Stripe) and partner systems from concept to implementation, working closely with developers, product managers and partners.

Responsibilities

  • Owning the technical product for REST APIs, Stripe-based payment processes and the partner/admin dashboard
  • Developing technical concepts and solution designs for new features and integrations
  • Acting as the point of contact for partners and customers on API integrations and technical questions
  • Leading discoveries: analyzing requirements, assessing technical feasibility and proposing solutions
  • Implementing features in an AI-assisted way: generating code with AI tools, reviewing it and ensuring quality
  • Identifying optimization potential in the existing product landscape
  • Prioritizing and maintaining the product backlog together with product management
  • Working closely with the development team to support technical decisions
  • Working with key account management to translate customer needs into technical solutions

Requirements

  • Technical background, ideally several years of developer experience in PHP/JavaScript
  • Understanding REST APIs and webhooks at the code level (able to read, review, and if needed write code)
  • Experience with payment providers (Stripe, Adyen or similar), ideally Stripe
  • Routine use of AI tools (Claude, GitHub Copilot, Cursor) to implement features and evaluate code
  • Experience in B2B SaaS or platform products, ideally with multi-tenant or white-label architecture
  • Ability to translate complex requirements into understandable technical concepts
  • Clear communication with developers and non-technical stakeholders
  • Experience with Jira or comparable tools

Nice to have

  • Experience with PHP/Laravel or Vue.js/Nuxt
  • Knowledge of API design and developer experience (DX)
  • Experience in the automotive or mobility sector
