
WMS Workflow Architect
EVERSANA is seeking a highly experienced WMS Workflow Architect to provide technical, functional, and strategic leadership for its Datex WMS platform supporting pharmaceutical 3PL operations. The role serves as the design authority across all warehouses, clients, and solution implementations, leading onshore and offshore configuration teams and overseeing regulatory alignment (cGMP/GDP, DSCSA, Part 11) and integration frameworks.
Responsibilities
- ▹Own architectural standards, design conventions, and configuration patterns for Datex WMS workflows
- ▹Define and enforce enterprise-wide WMS architecture, warehouse blueprints, workflow standards, and compliance frameworks
- ▹Validate and approve WMS design changes from onshore/offshore teams
- ▹Lead and mentor onshore and offshore WMS developers, analysts, and QA testers
- ▹Assign priorities, manage workloads, and ensure timely delivery of enhancements, client onboarding, and projects
- ▹Ensure workflows adhere to DSCSA, cGMP/GDP, 21 CFR Part 11, and audit trail/e-signature requirements
- ▹Oversee validation strategy for WMS changes (URS, FRS, IQ/OQ/PQ, traceability matrices)
- ▹Architect workflows for FEFO/expiry-driven allocation, lot/batch/serial control, quarantine/QA/hold/release, temperature-controlled processes, controlled substances handling, multi-client 3PL billing
- ▹Optimize RF flows, wave strategies, replenishment logic, and exception handling
- ▹Oversee integration design with ERP, TMS, carriers, automation, and serialization systems
- ▹Approve EDI/JSON/XML mappings for inbound/outbound data
- ▹Serve as top-level escalation point for major incidents; govern change control and release management
- ▹Partner cross-functionally with Operations, Quality, Engineering, and Customer Solutions teams
Requirements
- ▹Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Supply Chain, Engineering, or related field
- ▹7–10+ years of hands-on Datex WMS configuration, workflow design, and architecture experience
- ▹5+ years in a leadership role guiding onshore and offshore teams
- ▹Deep pharmaceutical distribution expertise: DSCSA traceability, cGMP/GDP, 21 CFR Part 11, audit trails, e-signatures, cold chain/temperature-controlled workflows
- ▹Extensive experience in 3PL multi-client environments
- ▹Strong understanding of core warehouse processes (inbound, putaway, replenishment, picking, VAS, returns, QC, cycle counting)
- ▹Strong SQL Server experience (queries, stored procedures, debugging)
- ▹Experience with GxP validation frameworks (URS/FRS, IQ/OQ/PQ, CAPA, change control)
- ▹Exceptional communication skills across business, operations, and technical teams
Nice to have
- ▹Advanced certifications in supply chain or WMS technologies
- ▹Experience designing or supervising Azure Functions or Node.js/TypeScript integration/workflow extensions
- ▹Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics) and TMS/carrier integrations
- ▹Exposure to warehouse automation (AMRs, conveyors, print-and-apply, dimensioners, pick-to-light/put-to-light)
- ▹Familiarity with serialization/regulatory platforms (TraceLink, SAP ATTP)
- ▹Power BI/Tableau for operational data models
