(Senior) Consultant - FinOps & IT Cost Management (Financial Services)

Responsibilities

• ▹Contribute to FinOps maturity assessments: cloud cost maturity analysis, gap analysis across processes, governance and team capabilities, evaluation of the FinOps tooling landscape
• ▹Support development of cloud optimization frameworks, design of FinOps-as-Code roadmaps and ITSM-driven governance models
• ▹Take part in implementing target operating models: automated, policy-driven optimization execution and deployment of agentic-AI-based FinOps use cases
• ▹Create and apply EY assets such as FinOps maturity rapid assessment tools, cloud cost optimization frameworks, lever books and operating model blueprints
• ▹Analyze and prepare cloud spend data, develop usage-based shared cost allocation models, and visualize savings potential for financial institutions

Requirements

• ▹Degree in computer science, business informatics, industrial engineering, economics, mathematics or a comparable field
• ▹Initial knowledge of cloud cost management, FinOps or IT controlling
• ▹Basic understanding of hyperscaler platforms (AWS, GCP or Azure)
• ▹German at least C1 level and good English communication skills

Nice to have

• ▹Familiarity with FinOps tooling solutions (e.g. IBM/Apptio, ServiceNow, Flexera)
