Manager - FinOps & IT Cost Management (Financial Services)

Responsibilities

• ▹Lead FinOps projects across all phases: assess (maturity baseline, gap analysis, cloud spend analysis), plan (target operating model, FinOps-as-Code roadmap, ITSM governance) and execute (implementation, automated optimization, agentic AI FinOps)
• ▹Own the development and rollout of cloud optimization frameworks, usage-based shared cost allocation models and policy repositories for regulated financial institutions
• ▹Build and manage client relationships at decision-maker level; help shape the FinOps service portfolio and further develop EY assets
• ▹Collaborate with partners (IBM/Apptio, ServiceNow, Flexera) and offshore teams, coordinating on- and offshore teams
• ▹Mentor and develop junior team members

Requirements

• ▹Degree in computer science, business informatics, industrial engineering, economics or a comparable field, plus 5+ years of relevant experience
• ▹Solid FinOps knowledge, familiarity with FinOps tooling ecosystems and platforms (OpenShift, Databricks)
• ▹Proven project experience managing and optimizing cloud costs at financial service providers
• ▹Experience leading teams and projects
• ▹German at least C1 level and good English communication skills
