Software Engineer II, Crusoe Container Registry

Responsibilities

• ▹Contribute to and own components behind Crusoe Cloud's managed container registry, serving images for training and inference workloads
• ▹Own features end to end: design, implementation, testing, rollout and operation
• ▹Tackle hard problems in building a cloud provider, landing simple, pragmatic designs
• ▹Partner with product and platform teams to align on solutions
• ▹Write and ship sustainable, observable software so the platform stays maintainable as it grows
• ▹Spot and act on opportunities to make the team's systems easier, safer and faster to run

Requirements

• ▹Solid grasp of distributed systems fundamentals, with experience contributing to fault-tolerant production services under high load
• ▹A performance mindset, with hands-on experience profiling and benchmarking real systems
• ▹Customer-centric mindset, championing decisions that make the platform more reliable
• ▹Strong fundamentals in microservices and cloud-native infrastructure (Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform) alongside languages like Go, Rust, Java or C++
• ▹Comfortable working across functions and explaining technical tradeoffs clearly
• ▹Interest in mentoring new teammates
• ▹2-4 years of professional software development experience

Nice to have

• ▹Familiarity with the OCI image and distribution specs
• ▹Experience building container registry products
• ▹Experience with storage or caching systems at scale
